SalvTom knocked on the door of the gigantic manor, a bundle of Calla lilies in his hands. Those were Lady's favorite, weren't they? He looked up at one of the higher windows, hoping LordTom wasn't home today. He really didn't have another excuse for why he was holding Lady's favorite flower in a bundle. And he wore loose pants, so running away wasn't quite an option. Maybe he could punch back?

Lady probably wouldn't like that, he decided; it wasn't very gentleman-like. Of course, LordTom trying to kill him wouldn't be very gentleman-like, either, now would it? Or would it perhaps be okay since he'd be protecting Lady's honor? Wait, was that right?

Tom groaned, knocking again. He'd never get the hang of this.
